When are Union Meetings?
Union Meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:00pm
Apprenticeship Opportunity
Applications are accepted for the apprenticeship program on the 3rd Friday of every month (except April, May, June and July) from 8:00am - 11:00am. We are located in Room C at the KCC-RMTC Bldg., 405 Hill Brady Road, Battle Creek, MI. March is the last month each year for applications to be considered for that class year. Interviews are completed by the end of May. Apprentices are indentured in June and classes begin in July. Classes are conducted at this location so please do not come at any other time.
To submit an application you must meet the minimum qualifications for apprenticeship and bring the required documentation with you:
You must be a high school graduate or have a GED minimum. Provide proof of this with your High School or GED dipolma or an official letter from your high school stating you graduated (or will be graduating this school year) and on what date. A college diploma in addition to High School is welcome but not necessary.
You must provide documentation of successful completion of : One full year of high school algebra with a passing grade (integrated math is accepted, consumer math is not) or one college level algebra course with a passing grade. Provide proof with your high school (required even if no math) and college transcript if applicable.
A non-refundable testing fee of $25.00 will be collected prior to issuance of an application. Money order or cash accepted. NO PERSONAL CHECKS.
To qualify for an interview you must score high enough on the aptitude test administered by the BCEJATC. This test will be scheduled for a later date after the applicant submits all required paperwork.
Bring all of the required documenmts with you when you come to apply. Diploma (High School or GED), High School transcript, and birth certificate or naturalization papers.
